A Muenster police spokeswoman tells CNN the truck driver killed himself after plowing into pedestrians

A van crashed into a crowd in the German city of Muenster on Saturday, local reports say. German police said in a tweet that "there are dead and injured," and asked people to avoid the city center. The tweet did not say what caused the deaths.
