On Monday, in response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, President Donald Trump denounced "criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans." In a press briefing from the White House, Trump said that "racism is evil."
