Biden facing diplomacy deficit going back decades

One of President Joe Biden's first acts in office was to request the resignation of Michael Pack as head of the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), which manages all US government broadcasting, including such venerable services as the Voice of America, Radio Marti, Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty. These networks have a nearly 80-year record of providing credible news and information, and by extension inspiration, to hundreds of millions of listeners and viewers around the world and have been among the most visible and pervasive exemplars of democratic values.
